FIFA gave the players heat breaks. The fans got nothing.

The World Cup came to America with 90-degree forecasts. FIFA made heat breaks mandatory on the pitch. The fans standing outside in the same heat were left to bake. No discount on concessions. Nothing allowed in from outside.

We asked FIFA for permission to hand out free GoGo squeeZ outside the stadiums.

They didn’t respond.

So we asked again in the New York Times, where not answering would be its own answer.

They still didn't. So we stopped asking.

We took fan welfare into our own hands and initiated Operation: Fuel the Fans. We sent our Bush Brigade (a street crew dressed as strawberry bushes) to the transit hubs of New York, Los Angeles and Kansas City and handed out electrolyte and protein pouches to fans, ourselves.

No permission. No stadium. No governing body required.
